A Tremor At The Edge of Vision
Videowork using new and archival footage of birds of prey in urban sites
A Tremor At The Edge Of Vision is an experimental portrait of: relationships between humans and birds of prey; online communities and fan forum chat rooms; and urban England today. Using new and archival footage shot on mobile and streamed by wildlife “box cams”, the film explores how the covid pandemic has altered our engagement with nature; screen-mediated constructs of “the wild”; and liminalities between predator and prey. The work also presents a semi-fictional digital whodunnit of a missing fledgling falcon.
