Education.

I have a background in education delivery in Higher Education Institutions and gallery contexts, and a passion for experimental peer-led learning outside of institutions.

I have taught at universities across the South West of England on Fine Art, Theatre and Performance, Acting, and Dance degrees at BA and MA level as Associate and Visiting Lecturer. In 2022/23 I was Lecturer on the postgraduate arts degrees at Arts University Plymouth; as module lead for three modules across the Photography, Fine Art, Printmaking, Illustration, and Drawing courses, and as programme lead for the Master of Fine Art (MFA). I have an Associate Membership of the Higher Education Academy.

More recently I have been focusing on experimental peer-led education. This includes residentials at Rame Projects, in collaboration with Arts University Plymouth, Marjon University Plymouth, and Contemporary Art Membership Plymouth. I run a regular ‘multi-species walking-reading group’; an informal peer-learning group exploring texts with a focus on human and more-than-human relationships.

I am an Associate Member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, and really enjoy coaching and mentoring other artists and art workers, having been commissioned to do so by Contemporary Art Membership Plymouth and Cultivator Cornwall. I have also acted as an Arts Council England Support Worker, supporting disabled artists to make successful Project Grant applications.

I bring an intergenerational and accessible approach to gallery education, exploring wellbeing through creativity; most recently working as Education and Engagement Curator for Harbour House Art and Wellbeing in South Devon.

I have worked as a consultant for arts organisations, community interest companies, and universities on widening participation, working with young people, and socially-engaged practices and methodologies.
