Curation.
I work across artist-led projects, in the public realm, and in gallery contexts, using socially-engaged methodologies to support and facilitate exciting, challenging, but accessible contemporary art and performance.

I have worked as artist-led project instigator, creative producer, and curator on various projects since 2009: in arts institutions, museums, in the public realm, and in non-art spaces. Since 2012 I have been working from a socially-engaged framework, working with arts charity Take A Part from 2015-2023 as Creative Producer and then as Development Manager, and from 2023 with charity Harbour House Art and Wellbeing as Education and Engagement Curator. I am interested in how creativity can support social change, bring communities together, start conversations, promote wellbeing, and spark moments of joy.
I am skilled at arts project development and management including: talent development, mentoring, fundraising, curating, event production, supporting emerging social enterprises, evaluation, and more. I have developed these skills by working with schools, youth groups, community groups, activists, museums, galleries, councils, and conservation charities to support community-led visual arts practice.
Within my own art and curating practice, I particularly enjoy collaborating with communities of interest. Through working with fan communities I have learnt the importance of passion over “professionalism”, curiosity over “cleverness”, and the possibilities of generous, open source, and networked knowledges.
